Today, I am honored to introduce you to an inspiring young individual named Uwitonze, whose journey has led her to our shores, seeking refuge from a turbulent past and striving for a brighter future. Uwitonze and her family hail from the Democratic Republic of Congo, a region marked by conflict and adversity. Tragically, she lost her father at a tender age, a devastating event that left her mother to care for Uwitonze and her four siblings on her own. Faced with the challenges of life in a foreign land and the responsibility of providing for her family, her mother found herself unable to meet the complex needs of her beloved daughter. In recognition of the family’s plight, social services referred her to our institution, offering her the temporary residence and specialized care she required. Our commitment was clear: to provide her with a safe, nurturing environment that would allow her to flourish, heal, and grow.

PROGRAMS INVOLVED IN:
Our institution has designed an individual education program tailored to her unique needs. Through this program, Uwitonze is learning essential life skills, including activities of daily living and vocational training. These skills will empower her to become a self-reliant and confident member of society.
Our shared hope and aspiration are for Uwitonze to acquire the skills she needs to lead an independent life, fostering a future filled with possibilities.
