BACKGROUND HISTORY
We are honored to introduce you to John, a young individual whose journey has been marked by resilience, determination, and the transformative power of compassion. John’s story began in the slums of Kayole, Nairobi, where he faced incredible challenges during his 11 years of life. His parents had passed away when he was very young, leaving him in the care of his late grandmother, who herself was aged and unable to provide the specialized care that John required. In these difficult circumstances, John was deprived of access to crucial rehabilitation and physiotherapy services that could have greatly improved his quality of life. Additionally, he lacked the essential assistive devices needed to navigate his daily challenges.
When John was brought into our organization, he faced numerous obstacles. He was non-verbal, socially distant, and unable to sit properly. However, with the unwavering support of our dedicated team and compassionate donors like you, John’s life began to transform.

PROGRAMS INVOLVED IN:
Over the past five years, John has made remarkable progress through the programs he has been involved in. He has received vital physiotherapy and rehabilitation services, which have helped him maintain his condition and improve his physical abilities. Furthermore, John participates in an individual education program tailored to his needs. In this program, he receives speech therapy and communication skills training, along with religious education.
The prospect of John’s future is now filled with hope and promise. During his time with us, he has learned to speak, developed positive social skills, and can now comfortably sit on normal chairs. Our ongoing objectives are clear: we intend to continue these programs until John can communicate confidently and also acquire valuable vocational skills. It is our firm belief that John has the potential to achieve remarkable feats with the right support.
