Esther’s story begins in 2014 when she was brought into our organization’s loving care. Concerned community members alerted children’s officers, reporting a lost and seemingly stranded child in one of Nairobi’s challenging slums. Esther’s welfare was of utmost importance, and upon her arrival, we promptly arranged for her to undergo checkups at a mental institution. Following a thorough evaluation, she was prescribed necessary medication. While
Esther doesn’t speak fluently, her resilience shines through.

PROGRAMS INVOLVED IN:
At our institution, Esther actively participates in various programs that are instrumental to her development. She is engaged in vocational training, where she receives instruction in sewing, farming, and household chores.
Additionally, she benefits from an individual educational program focused on personal hygiene. Esther’s creative spirit thrives through activities such as beadwork and clay works. Since joining our institution, Esther has made tremendous strides in her development. Her social interactions have significantly improved, and she is learning essential self-care skills while also gaining the ability to communicate her needs effectively. Our mission is to continue empowering Esther, enabling her to acquire vital life skills as she transitions into adulthood.
