BACKGROUND HISTORY:

Faith’s story began in 2009 when she was brought into our organization’s care. She had been rescued by diligent children’s officers following reports from concerned community members who had found her lost and stranded in one of Nairobi’s challenging slums. In such circumstances, swift action is critical to ensuring the safety of vulnerable children. Local authorities took her in as they awaited any missing person reports. During this time, we provided  Faith with temporary residence and arranged for comprehensive checkups at a mental institution, where she received essential medication and clinical care. Although her speech may not be fluent, Faith’s spirit is resilient.

PROGRAMS INVOLVED IN: 

Within our organization, Faith actively engages in a variety of programs tailored to her unique needs. She is enrolled in vocational training, where she is acquiring valuable skills in sewing, house and kitchen chores, farming, and caregiving. Faith’s creativity blossoms through activities such as beadwork and clay works. Additionally, our education program focuses on personal grooming and hygiene.

Since becoming a part of our organization, Faith has made significant progress in her communications and social interactions. We are confident that with continued training, she will gain essential life skills that will empower her as she approaches adulthood.
