Despite her best efforts, Simon’s mother found herself in a situation where she was unable to provide the specialized care that Simon required. His autism demanded a level of attention and support that stretched beyond her means, leaving him vulnerable and often alone in their home—a situation fraught with dangers.
Recognizing the urgency of Simon’s situation, the intervention of children’s officers provided a glimmer of hope. Through their tireless efforts, Simon was granted a placement in our institution, offering him a lifeline to the care and support he so desperately needed. Unfortunately, after his admission, his mother disappeared, and despite our best efforts, she remains untraceable to this day.
